![]() Ultimately the context of when and why the sentence appears will decide what version to useįor example, IIRC, the deja vu line is from a book or something? If it's the same, then the new sentence will work. However, I don't remember the context of it in the game, been too long since I worked on it. ![]() Short, to the point, still weird, totally recognizable. With that said, I dislike the first part of the fan translation, but I rather like the second part, I'd go with ![]() There's also the potential issue that the fan translation might be a translation from the original source material insteadĪll in all, the sentence needs to keep some of it's weirdness, or else there's no point in trying to keep the meme, might as well just remove it You'd find much easily French speakers who are familiar with it through the English game, the AVGN who helped make the Engrish phrase popular or the English meme itself. First issue is that most likely, nobody played it. There is multiple issues with using a fan translated Rom as an authority here. As said previously, Castlevania 2 is a game full of nonsense, the translation was most likely done in Japan, so everything comes off as super Engrishy and some sentences are utter nonsense
